Dave Martins, CIC, joined McClain Insurance in 2025.

He began his insurance career in 1997 and has served in a wide range of roles, including Claims Adjuster, Software Quality Assurance Analyst, Independent Agent, Marketing National Account Manager, and Regional Supervisor. He earned his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2008 and is passionate about keeping insurance transparent and easy to understand.

Outside the office, Dave is an avid runner and lifelong band nerd. He played trumpet well into college and once shared a stage with Kenny G (just before he became world famous). He was also one of nine trumpeters selected to perform a fanfare as Queen Elizabeth entered Hec Edmundson Pavilion for an address.

Family is at the center of Dave’s life. He and his wife, Lorna, are active in their church and sing with the Mill Creek Chorale. They previously performed with the Seattle Gilbert & Sullivan Society, even traveling to Buxton, U.K., for an international competition. When they’re not singing together, they’re busy coaching their college-age daughter and son in the fine art of launching into their own exciting adult lives.

In joining McClain Insurance, Dave is thrilled to return to his first professional love: advising clients on their insurance protection.
